Amazon has never been afraid to explore new opportunities. From experimenting with drone deliver to offering amazing deals on Amazon Prime Day, the online retail giant is always looking for new ways to generate revenue.
One of those new business opportunities that Amazon is now exploring is the idea of convenient grocery stores. Getting all of your groceries from Amazon might sound like a strange concept, but the idea that the company is presenting sounds awfully intriguing.
The company introduced Amazon Go in December, with the idea that the company can create the most convenient shopping experience possible. Instead of waiting in lines and paying for what you got, customers can simply grab whatever they want and leave the store.
To do this, customers just have to download an app on their phone, and whatever items they leave with will be charged to their account. Amazon does a much better job of explaining how this all works in the YouTube video below.
Online grocery deliver is something that some companies have attempted, but never before has someone tried a concept like this one. The convenience of not having to wait in lines and simply walking out with your groceries is something that just about anyone would be interested in.
There are plenty of questions as to how accurately Amazon can charge customers buying groceries, but if it works, it could change the way people shop for groceries forever.
