It appears that the iPhone 7 will clock in $100 cheaper than other versions.
We are in the fourth quarter of our wait for the next line of Apple products. After WWDC back n June, fans are now waiting for the September reveal of the new iPhone 7 but already we’re getting some news that will make us even more excited.
According to Forbes, as well as The Wall Street Journal, it appears that the iPhone 7 could be made available at a price $100 cheaper than expected.
Here’s how the pricing would work out (via Forbes) :
- iPhone 7: $649 (32GB), $749 (128GB) and $849 (256GB)
- iPhone 7 Plus: $749 (32GB), $849 (128GB) and $949 (256GB)
You might have noticed that there isn’t a 16GB version listed in the pricing. That’s not a mistake, it’s something that recent leaks have suggested: there isn’t a 16GB version of the iPhone 7.
The real thing to take away from this is that knocking off $100 on the new iPhone 7 might be something that returns Apple to the top of market. It’s been a while since anyone really took Apple iPhones seriously, given that they’re usually a few years behind in the technology department.
But upgrades to the camera, the nixing of the 16GB version, water-resistant material and a rumored Bluetooth headphone jack seems to point towards a resurgence in Apple dominance on the smartphone market.
Bumping off $100 from the price will only sweeten an already exciting deal for consumers.
