I’ve been using the Pixel 7 Pro for a few weeks now, and I have to say, I’m impressed. The camera system is truly outstanding, with multiple lenses that produce stunning photos and videos. I particularly appreciate the automatic edits that the phone applies to improve the look of my shots. Additionally, the clean Android OS is a breath of fresh air compared to other smartphones I’ve used in the past.
While the battery life isn’t as long as I had hoped for, it’s still sufficient for my daily needs. I also experienced some occasional strange performance issues, such as the phone not connecting to my car via USB, but these were relatively minor and were resolved with a simple restart.
It’s no surprise that the Google Pixel 7 Pro camera system is one of the best in the market, and one of the key selling points of the phone. With its triple-camera setup, including a 5x telephoto lens with 30x Super Res Zoom, the upgraded ultrawide lens that powers Macro Focus, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens with auto-focus, the Pixel 7 Pro delivers stunning and immersive photos and videos. The camera system even intelligently adjusts up to 120Hz for smoother, more responsive performance. Night Sight processing, sharper photos with face on blur, and a new feature called cinematic blur all add up to make the Pixel 7 Pro’s camera system one of the best in the market.
One of the most important aspects of smartphones is security, and the Google Pixel 7 Pro is one of the most secure phones on the market. With Google Tensor G2 and the Titan M2 security chip, your Pixel is built with multiple layers of security to help keep your personal info safe. The phone also has VPN by Google One built into it to help protect your online activity, no matter what app or web browser you use. If you’re purchasing one of the Pixel 7 or 7 Pros, you’re going to get five years of security updates, making it even more secure over time.
With the Adaptive Battery lasting over 24 hours, the Google Pixel 7 Pro battery life is impressive. When Extreme Battery Saver is turned on, it can last up to 72 hours. The phone even learns your favorite apps, so it doesn’t waste power on the ones you rarely use. While the battery life may not be as great as some other phones, it is still standard and should last you all day. Charging speed is slow, but turning off the Adaptive Charging can speed things up.
Faster, more efficient, and more secure, the Google Pixel 7 Pro is powered by Google Tensor G2. The phone is responsive, and the clean Android experience is intuitive and easy to use. However, there have been some occasional strange performance issues that seem to stem from the phone. Some customers have reported that the camera bump can easily get scratched, and the phone is bulky and too big to fit in some pockets.
Standing out in the market, the Google Pixel 7 Pro has several unique features. Call filtering allows it to automatically screen calls, and Direct my call converts speech to text and provides options when calling vendors/support. Hold for me detects hold music and waits on hold for you until someone is ready to speak. The phone also includes free access to Google VPN, and there are a plethora of other features that make the Pixel 7 Pro unique.
While not the cheapest option, the Google Pixel 7 Pro offers great value for money. While it may not have the raw power of some other phones, it’s cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy and has several features exclusive to Pixel phones. If you’re looking for a phone with a stellar camera, a clean Android experience, and unique features, the Pixel 7 Pro is definitely worth considering.
Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase of the Google Pixel 7 Pro. It’s a bit pricey, but the camera system and clean Android OS make it worth the investment. If you’re looking for a top-of-the-line smartphone with an emphasis on photography and user experience, I highly recommend the Pixel 7 Pro.
