Lamborghini unveils SUV, the Urus

The exotic car company Lamborghini has unveiled its first ever SUV in the Urus, and the world is still trying to process the concept.

Lamborghini was always been about speed and luxury with their vehicles. However, for the first time ever, the reputable car company is going to be releasing a different kind of vehicle with the Lamborghini Urus.

Originally unveiled as a concept back in 2012, the Urus is a four-door crossover SUV that is expected to finally go on sale in 2018. There have been other attempts at an SUV by Lamborghini with the LM002 back in the 80s and the Estoque in 2008, but the latter never went into production and the former had less than 400 models ever made.

“In a segment where all the automotive manufacturers are present, of course we will be there with our voice, with our product, with our brand,” said Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali at the Geneva Motor Show according to Peter Valdes-Dapena from CNN Money.

It’s definitely an exciting time for Lamborghini as the car company attempts to do something it’s only thought of trying to do in the past. The company is expecting the Urus to significantly increase sales while reaching a different market than its other models, which is why there is so much buzz surrounding the SUV.

Only time will tell whether or not the Urus is well received, but there is definitely plenty of hype surrounding the new Lamborghini.
