We all love Lego. Whether you’re a diehard who collects sets like Jay Leno collects cars, or just a casual builder who has loved kits since childhood — Lego is for everyone. That’s what makes things like this museum in Virginia so fascinating, the broad appeal of what it provides.
Virginia’s Living Museum has an exhibit open that is all about life, nature, and Lego. It’s three things not typically jammed together but they fit together like the perfect brick combination.
The motto of the exhibit is “Connecting People to Nature”, and it’s more then just a play on words. Everything from farmers to giant-sized butterflies have been created with Lego, totaling in roughly half a million bricks.

That’s just flat-out cool.
If you’re interested in checking this exhibit out but are uninterested in heading to Virginia to see it, luck is on your side. The exhibit is traveling to towns throughout the country and will be arriving in places like Houston and Cleveland later this year.
Lego is all about mixing life and art, which is why kits like Star War are so popular. People collect Lego sets about cars, boats and architecture because it connects them to that thing. What better use of bricks than to help connect people to nature, especially in this day and age.
As is the case with almost all Lego related things, this exhibit isn’t just for children. It’s an inclusive event that can be — and should be — enjoyed by everyone of all ages.
