March Madness is nearly upon us, and as college basketball fans everywhere get fired up for the NCAA tournament, the athletic apparel giant Nike is gearing up by releasing special school editions of some of their most popular sneakers.
One of those school themed sneakers will be the Nike Kobe A.D., which will be released with a special Oregon Ducks theme. Although former Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant never actually attended college, Nike felt like his sneakers would look great in an Oregon theme.
You can expect the Ducks to be rocking these black and yellow sneakers during their NCAA tournament run this month. For those who are interested in buying a pair for themselves, the sneakers will be released to the public on March 10th for $160.
For a closer look at the new Nike Kobe A.D. “Oregon”, you can check out a few pictures of the sneakers below.
Some may be surprised to see a Kobe sneaker with a college theme, especially since the future Hall of Famer never actually attended college. Even if he did, many had expected that Kobe would have gone to Duke to play for the Blue Devils.
Regardless of the fact that Kobe didn’t go to Oregon, you have to appreciate just how sharp these new sneakers look. You can feel pretty confident that the Ducks players will be fired up to get to wear these during the tournament.
