Norwegian Airlines offering $65 airfare to Europe

If you’ve ever wanted to take a trip to Europe but we too worried about the cost, Norwegian Airlines is making it cheaper to fly overseas.

Flying overseas is something that millions of Americans wish they could do but usually don’t pull the trigger. One of the big reasons for not seeing Europe is simply because it can be too expensive. Fortunately for Americans, one airline is trying to make a trip to Europe a bit more affordable.

Starting in June, Norwegian Air International will start offering 10 new trans-atlantic flights, including one from Edinburgh, Scottland to Stewart International Airport in New York. According to Justin Bachman from Bloomberg.com, Norwegian Airlines is promoting these new flights starting with just $65 airfare to Europe. Other flights will start at $99 or higher.

These flights are set to begin on June 15th, and although Stewart International Airport is about 60 miles north of New York City, Norwegian Airlines thinks that offering low-cost flights like these will convince NYC and New Jersey residents to make the drive north for cheaper airfare instead of paying more money to fly out of LaGuardia or JFK.

Norwegian Airlines will be using 737 Max Boeing planes for these trans-atlantic flights. These planes are more cost efficient than similar models, and as the first airline to use these planes for commercial flights, Norwegian Airlines is passing some of those savings onto consumers with their current deals.

Despite the distance to Stewart International Airport, expectations are that these $65 tickets will be hard to come by once they are made available to the public. Still, for anyone who has ever wanted to go overseas, this sounds like the perfect opportunity to start planning a vacation in Europe.
