Pokemon Go is the latest fad that everyone has gotten into, but we’re all quickly learning of how dangerous is can be.

Not only is it something that has proven to be hazardous to your health if you’re not paying attention to your surroundings, but it’s also a game that can infiltrate your life in a way possible only in 2016.

As you probably know now, signing up for a Pokemon Go account means that you’re giving up access to your personal accounts. But there’s a way to have your Pokemon and have your privacy as well.

Here’s how to opt-out of the data mining that is going on with Pokemon Go — but you have to act fast since it’s a limited window.

Send an email to termsofservice@nianticlabs.com with “Arbitration Opt-out Notice” in the subject line. Be sure to put in a clear declaration that you are opting out of the arbitration clause in the Pokémon Go terms of service.

You have a small, 30-day window to opt out of the data sharing, and it’s impossible for anyone to have been playing the game that long. So there is plenty of time to save yourself from sacrificing all of your privacy in the name of catching them all.
