Personal Experience

After I purchased a Ring Alarm 14-piece kit, I have to admit: I was a bit intimidated. The idea of installing a home security system by myself was more than nerve-wracking. Unless you’ve done this a dozen times before, you’re probably feeling the same way that I was. Well, I’m happy to report that I installed this system and lived to tell the tale. The Ring Alarm kit made it surprisingly easy. I followed the instructions provided in the Ring app and had the system up and running in under an hour. I was seriously amazed by how quickly and easily I was able to get it installed.

Now that I’ve got a home security system up and running, I can finally have some peace of mind. It’s easy to manage with the help of the Ring app. I can monitor my home from my phone and receive notifications if something triggers the alarm. It’s important to note that it’s not just potential intruders that trip the alarm — mailmen or Amazon delivery drivers can, too. Thankfully, the app lets you easily arm and disarm the system.

Not everything is perfect, though (even if it comes close). The only downside is that I do have to pay for the optional 24/7 professional monitoring, which can be a bit pricey. All in all, however, I’m very pleased with my Ring Alarm and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a home security system.

The Ring Alarm 14-Piece Kit

This home security system is technically a kit, complete with 14 pieces. But what are those “pieces”? Why does a home security kit need so many “pieces”? Well, I’m about to tell you. Don’t get too excited.

The entire system includes eight contact sensors, two motion detectors, a base station, two keypads, and a range extender. In total, it takes about an hour to install all of them (which was a lot quicker than I expected of a kit with 14 pieces). As a whole, the system is very user-friendly. I am also satisfied with the battery life of the keypads, which have been running at full power for over 6 months.

Ring Alarm Special Features

You can easily set up your Ring Alarm by plugging in the base station, connecting to WiFi via the Ring app, and placing the sensors in their ideal locations. Plus, you can arm and disarm Ring Alarm with your voice through Alexa. With Ring Alarm, you can customize the settings of each device and tailor them to your needs. Plus, you can take advantage of Alexa Guard Plus to call trained agents from your Echo to dispatch emergency responders if necessary. Don’t just take it from me — battery life, easy installation, wifi signal, motion detection, and tech support are all highly rated features of the Ring Alarm system on Amazon.

Okay, so you’ve heard all about my experience, but what do other people have to say? And what about the numbers? We’ll let the Amazon reviews and rankings speak for themselves. Battery life clocks in at 4.4 stars, with users finding it easy to install and reliable for motion detection. The WiFi signal is also strong, and the system is easy to use, with a 4.4 star rating for user-friendliness. Tech support gets a slightly lower rating at 4.1 stars, but overall, the Ring Alarm system is an excellent choice for home security.

Customer Service

Customer service is a vital component of pretty much any product. I’ve had so many poor service experiences that I was really apprehensive about Ring. However, I was pleasantly surprised. After setting up the kit, I received a phone call from a representative to ensure everything was working and to answer any questions I had. They were very friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain the features of the system and how to use them. They also offered some great advice on how to maximize my security system, suggesting additional components that could be added.

Comparison to Other Alarm Systems

Compared to other alarm systems, the Ring Alarm system is much more affordable, with no need for a long-term contract or additional monthly fees. It’s also incredibly user-friendly, with an intuitive app that makes it easy to monitor your home from anywhere. The system also has a range of options for customization, as well as a variety of accessories that can be added on to further enhance your security. Additionally, the Ring Alarm system is compatible with Alexa, allowing you to arm and disarm your system with voice commands. It’s technologically advanced in a way that other systems just can’t seem to keep up with.

Pros

  • Easy to install and setup.
  • The Ring Protect Plus service is a great value, offering professional monitoring and unlimited cloud recording for just $100 a year.
  • Integration with Amazon Alexa and other Ring devices.

Cons

  • Terms and conditions are one-sided.
  • No heat sensors available yet.
  • Need to upgrade phone to current model for Android.

Final Conclusion

The Ring Alarm 14-piece kit comes with all the necessary components for a home security system. If you find that you want a more advanced system, then you can easily expand it to meet your specific needs. The customer service is also top-notch and the system integrates seamlessly with other Ring devices and Amazon Alexa. Overall, the Ring Alarm 14-piece kit is a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable, feature-rich home security system. I can’t recommend it enough.
