Chance the Rapper dropped a new song for Nike’s “Unlimited Together” commercial, which features both the men’s and women’s USA basketball teams.
Sports apparel giant Nike has been gearing up for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio for months, which is why it’s no surprise that their latest Olympics-inspired commercial is such an instant classic.
For their “Unlimited Together” commercial, Nike got Chicago-based hip-hop star Chance the Rapper to perform an original score for the ad. The song ties in perfectly for the Olympics, too, but that’s no surprise considering Chance is quickly becoming one of the biggest names in the music industry.
The commercial features both the men’s and women’s USA basketball teams, including all of the biggest names on both sides. As you can see from the YouTube video below, it’s hard not to get pumped up for this commercial.
It’s been a huge summer for Chance the Rapper, who recently released the biggest mixtape of his career in Coloring Book. The mixtape was the first to ever break into the Billboard 200 as a streaming-exclusive project, peaking all the way at No. 8 on the U.S. charts.
Not only has he gotten to work with Nike for this commercial, but he also recently performed another original song during this year’s ESPYs as a tribute to the late boxing legend Muhammad Ali. The hip-hop artist is also in the middle of his world tour, which kicked off on August 7th in San Francisco.
While Team USA goes for gold in basketball, Nike continues to drop impressive ads one after another.
