If you’re a human being on the planet Earth, you’ve probably seen (or at least heard of) The Office. While the show ended in 2013, its legacy as one of the best sitcoms out there remains intact. If you find yourself missing it, don’t worry — we have your back. You may not be able to catch new episodes on cable, but you can reminisce to your heart’s content in the kitchen with these dishes inspired by The Office.

    Schrute Farms Beet Salad

Baked beetroot salad with cilantro in a bowl.

Schrute Farms takes great pride in one thing, and one thing only — beets. What better way to pay tribute than to make a delicious beet salad?

This dish is pretty simple to make. While there’s room for experimentation, we recommend adding crumbled goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette to the mix.

As for the lettuce, you’ll want to go for arugula. You can also add walnuts and/or chopped bell peppers as extra toppings.

    Pretzel Day Soft Pretzels

    Homemade Soft Pretzels with Salt

Sometimes, the only thing that keeps you going is the thought of sinking your teeth into a soft pretzel. The Office got that, and we get it, too.

The pretzel vendor at Dunder Mifflin famously had eighteen different flavors, and while you can’t make them all at home, there’s lot of flavors you can try!

Cinnamon sugar pretzels, however, are particularly good. All you need to do is dip your pretzel into melted butter, and coat it with cinnamon and sugar.

Michael Scott’s “World’s Best Boss” Coffee

Top view black coffee in a white glass placed on an old cement table with coffee beans.

Whether or not Michael Scott is actually the world’s best boss remains to be seen, but he definitely enjoyed drinking coffee out of that mug.

Well…”coffee.” In season five, he revealed that he actually drank milk and sugar every morning (sans coffee). You definitely don’t need to replicate this one.

We can’t survive without our morning coffee, either. We suggest that you try taking your coffee with milk and sugar, to get close to his order.

    Kevin’s Famous Chili

Classic Southwestern Chili in a Cast Iron Dutch Oven with Corn Bread and Cheddar Cheese

Luckily for us, Kevin spelled out the recipe for his famous chili pretty clearly. He takes his chili seriously (more seriously than he probably takes accounting).

So, how does he do it? In the episode, he explains that he includes onions, garlic, tomatoes, ancho chilis, along with the standard ground beef.

The secret to why it’s so good? Undercooking the onions. Hand pressing the garlic won’t hurt, either, though you don’t have to go that far.

    Angela’s Double Fudge Brownies

    Pile of Delicious Chocolate Brownies

Apparently, Angela’s double fudge brownies are so good that they made Kevin overlook her rude personality. As any Office fan knows, that’s no easy feat.

Angela never shared her recipe’s specifics but on another brownie occasion she made sure to make non-nut ones for Kevin.

Angela may be difficult and somewhat of a brute, but boy can she bake! Its almost enough to get over her inability to be warm!

    “That’s What She Said” Hotdogs

Hot Dog with Roasted Onions, Pickle Relish, Mustard and Ketchup

Michael Scott will find any opportunity he can for a “that’s what she said”. In work situations where it definitely doesn’t call for it, Michael pulls out “the big guns”.

Michael just by nature was always a goofy guy. He looked for any excuse to make a joke. Some may say it was for attention, we think he liked to make people happy!

These dogs are great but be careful eating one around Michael, he may not even be able to control himself and will crack a goofy joke.

    Jim’s Tuna Sandwich

Homemade Fresh Tuna Salad Sandwich with Lettuce

Tuna! For nearly Jim’s entire existence on the show, Andy relentlessly would call him Tuna, due to him eating a tuna sandwich at lunch one day in Stamford.

Jim even admitted it was a one-time occurrence. Andy is just one of those employees you want to avoid working next to.

Be careful what you eat around Andy. He may very try and make goofy jokes about it and give you a new name!

    Pam’s Yogurt Lid Medals

A small container of greek yogurt with the spoon in it and the foil covering pulled back.

So if you remember the Office Olympics, Pam and Jim creatively came up with games and activities to do while Michael was busy signing a lease.

The games ended with Pam using the lids of yogurt cups as medals. Everyone had an enjoyable time (mainly because Michael was gone).

This is a cute little idea with your yogurt and its fun with the kids too! You just take the lid, make a hole a hole and put a piece of yarn through it!

    Creed’s Mung Bean Sprouts

    Bean sprouts on wooden plate

Creed is without a doubt the black sheep of the show. He has some of the most bizarre one-liners, and the camera always zooms in on him doing something odd.

Creed in real life is actually the member of a band. Its pretty cool that in real life too, Creed is an equally bizarre dude.

We aren’t too sure about this one, but it definitely is something Creed would eat. He just always at lunchtime seemed to have something odd to eat.

    Ryan’s Fire Roasted S’mores

Close up image of S'mores dessert with roasted marshmallows and a chocolate bar sandwiched between two square graham crackers. The dessert is displayed on a dark gray background, with two more S'mores in the background. The background is slightly out of focus.

Fire-d guy!!! Ryan without a doubt got the blunt end of things often. He was frequently getting dumped on and made fun of.

While he wasn’t the most likable guy, Ryan definitely brought a lot of great moments to the show. He was the intern after all!

Ryan even became VP of the company after some time. However he will always be Fire-d guy, so only right to have some S’mores courtesy of Mr. Howard.

    Jan’s Osso Buco

Osso Buco a Classic Italian Dish with Braised Veal Shanks, Stewed Tomatoes, Onions, Carrots, Celery and Fresh Herbs

OK let’s flashback to possibly the best episode ever. Jan and Michael during ‘Dinner Party’ have over Jim, Pam, Andy, Angela, and unexpectedly, Dwight and his babysitter.

When Pam showed up at first, they were given a difficult dose of reality when Jan said the dinner still needed 3-4 hours.

That’s just brutal. The dinner itself was far worse. It ended with a dispute that the cops had to come and break up.

    The Dundie Award Trophy Cupcakes

    White and Gold Luxury cupcakes

Oh baby it’s time for the Dundies! The Dundies were the favorite day of the year for Michael. A time for him to honor his favorite people!

In multiple seasons there has been Dundies awards ceremonies. Not a single one of them really ever went well.

If you win a Dundie, just prepare yourself because the award may be odd but you will have to display it at work too! Or come up with excuses for its disappearance.

    Gabe’s Sushi Platter

Sushi set uramaki and spicy sushi rolls served on bamboo tray. Various kinds of sushi pieces served on black slate with wooden chopstick.

Gabe was beyond creepy and had a disastrous track record with the company. He claimed to be a great hugger, into making music and loved Japanese culture.

Gabe had an interesting viewing party once for an episode of Glee and it was truly about as uncomfortable as you can get.

Gabe spends some time talking about his music, his time in Asia. He is so creepy it made Andy sick to the stomach! (It was the seahorse powder).

Robert California’s Red Wine Braised Short Ribs

Thick Cut BBQ Beef Short Ribs

Robert California’s house party was surely a bizarre evening. Quite a bit of wine was drunk. The night in fact ended with skinny dipping! Strange…

The night was hilarious and as a whole so is the character of Robert California. He really was an enigma and a total mystery to the office.

His departure was sad, but also very funny. He made up a name and totally conned David Wallace into giving him money to travel to Europe for gymnastics? Weird dude!

    Nellie’s British Fish and Chips

A plate of traditional British fish, chips and mushy peas with tartar sauce.

Nellie was probably one of the worst characters on the show, She took Andy’s job without any previous orders or really any reasoning.

Nellie eventually loses the job and rightfully so. She really was rough. She did however eventually make a good addition to the office.

Fish and chips is very fitting for Nellie. She is British and it feels like she is frequently letting us know about it.

    Bob Vance’s Refrigerator Pickles

    Marinated cornichons texture food background.

Bob Vance of Vance Refrigeration! Phyilis and Bob are an amazing duo and Bob himself has an empire of Refrigerators.

Phyilis and Bob are another amazing couple. They certainly are a bit bizarre but pretty much everyone in this show is.

What’s better than a big jar of pickles. Nice and cool, crunchy, easy to eat at anytime. These are the Vance Fridge’s dream!

    Jim and Pam’s Rooftop Pizza

A view of a pepperoni pizza pie.

This was an adorable moment where after an office party goes haywire, a pizza party allows Pam and Jim a moment to go upstairs for pizza and soda.

They spent the night talking about the first time they knew. Apparently for Pam it was when she told Jim his yogurt was about to expire.

Jim and Pam are the quintessential TV couple. They had to work to get to where they were, and they are absolutely adorable!

    Kevin’s M&M’s Surprise

A white bowl full of multicolored m&m candies.

Kevin loves his M&M’s. Its the highlight of his desk-that giant glass container. He even has games to count how many he can fit in his mouth.

Kevin was without a doubt one of the funniest characters. He brought such a sweet brand of comedy to the table.

We have beautiful moments of food with Kevin. Its definitely something that he believed was part of who he was, so its only right to have these special TV memories.

Jo Bennett’s Southern Biscuits and Gravy

Closeup of biscuits and creamy sausage gravy on a wooden plate

Sabre Electronics is certainly a bizarre company. Jo Bennett herself is a peculiar duck. She does however emulate southern charm beautifully.

Jo has made it very clear that she has deep southern roots. Michael often tries to make jokes in an odd way of trying to relate.

It’s not surprising Sabre didn’t last…those triangular pads were absolutely bizarre. Jo was a great character though.

    Daryl’s Warehouse Wings

A plate of buffalo style chicken wings with celery and blue cheese with a beer on a bar or restaurant table.

Daryl is the king of the warehouse. Despite it being a workplace its also Michael Scott’s playground. This does not make everyone happy…

Daryl is one of the greatest character arcs of the show. He constantly was being held down by Michael and moved up the ranks very slowly.

In the iconic “Back from Vacation” episode after Michael goes to Sandals and has Jan secretly accompany him, he confronts Daryl as he’s eating wings and a sub.
