I don’t think it’s fair to throw around terms like audiophile and studio quality.
If you ask me it is best to temper your expectations a bit seeing this is a very cheap set of speakers.
I’ve heard these in person because my friend owns a pair and in all honesty it is amazing that they can slap these things together at this pricepoint. But bass is quite boomy and treble isn’t all too clear or revealing, dac ain’t to great either.
In the market for a cheap audio system? By all means go ahead and order these.
Just don’t expect to be mastering any tracks on them.
If you’d ask me for my advice on a cheap audio system?
A set of secondhand bookshelves or floor standers from a renowned brand aren’t hard to come by and if you pair them up with a Chinese Class d amplifier with Bluetooth and you basically get the same connectivity and twice the sound for the same price point or even cheaper!
I’ve heard the bigger and more expensive 3 way of these edifiers as well btw but much prefered the sound of the 2way. They sounded like they had very poor designed crossover networks.
