The online retail giant Amazon will be hiring more than 30,000 part time workers in the United States over the next year, with more jobs expected to come in the future.
Amazon has established itself as a massive brand thanks to its incredibly large scale of online retail purchases and distribution. Now, the company is expecting to add a significant number of Americans to its already substantial workforce.
According to Jill Disis from CNN Money, Amazon is expected to hire more than 30,000 part time workers over the next year. The majority of those jobs, or about 25,000, will be positions in warehouses, while the other 5,000 will be positions in the customer service department.

These part time jobs aren’t the only ones that the online retail giant plans to add in the near future. The company announced back in January that they are planning on adding another 100,000 full time jobs over the next 18 months, which would give them over 280,000 employees across the country.

Amazon is a company that continues to focus on innovation, and that’s a big reason why the online retailer continues to expand. This massive infusion of jobs only helps prove just how big Amazon is becoming.
