As the world waits for the next iPhone from Apple, the tech giant is also apparently set to announce the next model of the Apple Watch.
Apple fans everywhere are anxiously awaiting the announcement of the iPhone 7. However, there’s another product coming in the near future that consumers should be taking a look at once it’s released.
According to Justin Fenner from GQ, the Apple Watch 2 is set to be officially revealed during the tech company’s Special Event on September 7th. These Special Events are usually used exclusively to announce new products through live streams, which bodes well for a new Apple Watch announcement.
The Apple Watch 2 is expected to feature a number of new updates, including a new iOS in watchOS 3. The operating system will focus more on fitness-related updates, faster connectivity and more logical ways to connect with messaging and emails.
Fans of Apple products may be slightly interested in the Apple Watch, but all of the attention is going towards the iPhone 7. The smart watch market hasn’t grown like Apple thought it would despite other companies competing in the market. Perhaps consumers are waiting for an even more convenient wearable technology (like Google Glass), but there’s no telling quite why the market hasn’t taken off.
As for the iPhone 7, the phone is expected to be revealed the same day as the Apple Watch 2, so Smart Carting will be sure to keep up with any updates regarding Apple products as they are revealed in September during the Special Event.
