After you buy a phone, your next most important purchase is a phone case. After all, you don’t want your new smartphone to break on you! For those of you that prefer older smartphones, the Fanbiya Armor Case for ASUS ROG Phone 6/6 Pro is perfect. It’s a rugged protective case that comes with a kickstand and camera protector, offering full body protection to your device. After looking for affordable and durable options to safeguard my phone, I decided to try this one out.
Rugged Protection
There’s no doubt that this case is top-notch. It’s optimized to protect your phone from any and all kinds of damage. The solid and raised edges, along with the shockproof material, can protect your phone screen and camera against drops. Additionally, the hard PC shell and built-in camera protector offer further protection against damage. With this case, you can have peace of mind knowing that your phone is well-protected from accidental drops and impacts.
Compatible with Air Trigger
There are two precise cutouts that are designed to be compatible with Air Trigger, ensuring that you can use all the features of your ASUS ROG Phone 6/6 Pro without any interruptions. This feature is especially important for gamers who rely on Air Trigger for their gaming experience. With this case, you can enjoy uninterrupted gaming sessions without any issues. Even if you’re not a gamer, though, you can still use Air Trigger to use shortcuts on your device. If you’d rather not make use of it, then you don’t have to. The option is there for when you need it.
Dust and Water Protection
Not all damage is obvious. Sure, drops and screen cracks can be bad for your phone, but that’s not the only damage that a good phone case should be protecting your smartphone from. In this instance, both the charging and cooler ports on this case are equipped with built-in covers to keep out dust or water intrusion. This feature is particularly useful for those who use their phone in dusty or wet environments. Now, you can have peace of mind knowing that your phone is protected from often unseen damages.
Functional Kickstand
Cases aren’t just for protecting your phone. Lots of people like to add pop sockets to the back of their phone cases to prop them up. With the Fanbiya Armor Case, though, you won’t need to make any extra purchases. It comes with a built-in ring that acts as an ideal kickstand for watching videos, browsing the web, and more. The kickstand is sturdy and provides easy access to all buttons, controls, and ports. With this feature, you can enjoy hands-free viewing of your favorite content.
Heat Dissipation Ensured
Speaking of hidden sources of phone damage, heat is another huge factor. Have you ever been barred from using your phone because it’s overheated? It’s not only inconvenient, but can also really damage your phone if it happens too often, impacting its longevity. While the device has some built-in protections to prevent this from happening, an extra layer of protection can’t hurt. The Fanbiya Armor Case for ASUS has private heat sink poles on the back for heat dissipation. This feature ensures that your phone stays cool even during extended gaming sessions or heavy usage.
Impressive for What It Is
Let’s face it — the Fanbiya Armor Case may not be the most high-end case available. Still, it’s an impressive option for its price point. The case is designed with a good amount of thought put into it, and the soft-touch plastic feels great in your hands without being too slippery. This case serves its purpose with a few extra features thrown in. It is a decent buy for anyone looking for a budget-friendly option to protect their ASUS ROG Phone 6/6 Pro.
Pros:
- The case provides solid and raised edges with shockproof material and built-in camera protector, offering full protection against drops.
- The precise cutouts are designed to be compatible with Air Trigger.
- The case comes with a functional kickstand and tempered glass camera protector.
Cons:
- Some users have reported that the kickstand is not stable and can wobble, making it difficult to prop up the phone.
- The case’s impact resistance is not effective over 4 feet, according to some users.
- The ROG “Eye” logo on the back has no detail, and there is no viewport for the RGB dot matrix.
Conclusion
Overall, my experience with the Fanbiya Armor Case for ASUS has been quite positive. However, there were some minor issues. The stand wasn’t as stable as I would have liked, and the charging plug was stiff, making it challenging to charge the phone at times. The case also lacked a viewport for the RGB, which was a bit disappointing. Still, I didn’t find that these issues majorly detracted from my enjoyment. I would highly recommend this case to others, especially those who are looking for an affordable option that provides excellent protection for their phone.
