When does Game of Thrones Season 6 come to Blu-ray?
Everyone is talking about the season finale of Game of Thrones from this weekend, but when can you actually take it home with you and watch it whenever you want?
With the advent of online streaming and keeping digital libraries in a cloud, there has been less and less incentive to go out and buy shows when they hit the market. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go out and get the Blu-ray sets of show like Game of Thrones when they become available.
The series is one of the best we’ve ever seen on television and diving into the show on a binge watch is still possible even if you’re uninterested in watching online.
You’re going to have to wait a while to see the show hit Blu-ray though, which means if you’re waiting for the special features that come with it then it’s going to be a minute.
Right now it sounds like the Game of Thrones Season 6 Blu-ray is going to hit stands in the fall months of 2016 — but it could be longer than that. Typically the show tries to cash in on the holiday season, which begs a fall release date.
It’s also possible that the show leans towards lining up the release of the sixth season with the premiere of the seventh.
Either way, the show is going to eventually come to Blu-ray, and waiting until the fall to dig into the special features seems like it might be worth the wait.
