Grand Theft Auto has (sort of) received the Lego treatment thanks to a phenomenally well put together mash-up.
There seems to be this trope that Lego is only for kids. It’s the same reason people thought The Simpsons wouldn’t work since cartoons weren’t an adult thing. There is no denying that the marketing of most Lego sets are towards kids, but there’s a large adult audience that keeps the bottom line on the rise.
Look no further than the information release of the UCS Millennium Falcon this past week, which broke the Lego section of the internet into pieces. You don’t make a 7,000-plus piece set for kids and Lego knows it has an adult audience to cater to.
That adult audience is never afraid to show its love for Lego in strange ways. Whether it’s posting customized sets that they made or mashing together things that shouldn’t belong in the world of Lego.
The latter is true of a Grand Theft Auto-style short film that is so wrong it’s amazing.
Just watch:
We actually did a ranking not that long ago of Lego movies ideas that are so wrong they need to happen. Could you imagine a Reservoir Dogs Lego movie or Lego Minifigures acting out the sewer scene from Shawshank?
If you want to check that list out (and you should) check the other side of this big button:

We’ll never see a Grand Theft Auto Lego set or a movie based on the game, but that clearly won’t stop the Adult Lego fans out there from mashing up things that shouldn’t go together but are a perfect fit.
