We came across this video of a machine sorting two tons of Lego, and all of a sudden the zoning out commenced.
It’s strangely hypnotizing to watch. There’s something about the way the conveyer belt moves so slowly, so delicately — it’s hard to look away. The sense of accomplishment you feel when the piece finally makes it over the top and into the chute is strangely satisfying in ways you wouldn’t think a video about a machine sorting Lego would be.
Then again, there are entire Instagram accounts dedicated to things like this, so it’s not surprising that this would strike a chord. That stirs up a chicken-or-the-egg debate about whether we liked these oddly satisfying videos before they were a thing or because they are a thing.
But who has the energy for that right now? Just enjoy the Lego sorting machine and take a break from your day.
