Starbucks, the coffee chain that’s as American as apple pie is, in fact, open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29.
Since joining the ranks of global food chains, Starbucks has stayed open on U.S. national holidays. Memorial Day 2017 is no different. Most Starbucks locations will maintain normal business hours, though if you’re absolutely counting on a Frappuccino or a cake pop, confirm with your local store before Monday.
Some Starbucks, such as those located within other businesses, may be closed. If you’ve known your location to close on holidays — or if it’s closed on the weekends — your preferred spot may be closed on Memorial Day.
The coffee chain that’s as American as apple pie does not appear to have anything special planned for Memorial Day Monday. However, there’s no time like the holiday to try one of their sugary and indulgent “secret menu” items. You may be able to bribe a barista into making you a Unicorn Frappuccino or “the pink drink” — the ombre iced passion tea.
Starbucks also recently announced their summer seasonal flavors. Returning once again is the S’mores Frappuccino and the coffee shop introduced Narino 70 cold brew this year as well.
Speaking of the cold brew, Starbucks also offers Narino 70 pitcher packs — brewing up a pitcher of high-end cold brew is sure to make you fast friends at whichever barbecue, cookout or patio party you attend.
The Starbucks bakery is also prepped and ready with the assist if you totally forgot you were responsible for bringing the sweet stuff to your potluck. An array of adorable ice cream cone sugar cookies and octopus cookies, maybe with s’mores bar, raspberry swirl loaf cake and Michigan cherry oat bar will assuage anyone wondering where they came from.
Most Starbucks are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., with minor adjustments here and there. Be sure to check your store hours if a Starbucks run is vital, but otherwise you should feel confident knowing Starbucks is open on Memorial Day, Monday May 29.
