What are Walmart’s store hours on Easter Sunday and will you be able to get any last minute items?
This Sunday is Easter, which means it’s time to gather around the table and celebrate a holiday with family. Not all families celebrate this holiday, but almost all families go to Walmart which means we’re all wondering how Easter Sunday effects our shopping plans.
Holidays usually mean that store hours will change, but if there’s one constant that we’ve learned over the years it’s that nothing can stop a Walmart from staying open. That’s true again this year as the national store chain will remain open all day long during normal business hours on Easter Sunday.
If your local Walmart is a 24-hour store, then expect the doors to remain open all day. All other stores will be operating from 6am to midnight on their normal cycle which means you can get all your last minute Easter shopping done.
Easter is a Christian holiday, but not everyone celebrates the day. Walmart remaining open isn’t just about providing for people looking for the things hey forgot to buy before cooking their Easter dinner, it’s about remaining open for everyone of all creeds. That’s a bit deep of an analysis of why Walmart is open — and isn’t the sole reason they are — but it’s worth considering.
Another thing to think about is the Easter sale that usually happens every year. It’s no Black Friday, but the store is offering deals on everything from electronics to clothes. At the very least, it’ll be a nice chance to hit some shopping before Spring and Summer truly arrive and life catches up with us.
Regardless, Walmart is open this Easter Sunday, proving that there’s nothing that will keep a Walmart from opening its doors on a given day. And thank goodness for that.
