What are Walmart’s store hours on Memorial Day, Monday May 29 2017?
Monday May 29 is Memorial Day 2017 and as a U.S. national holiday many shops and stores will close their doors. For many, but not all, this means a day off work and quality time to spend with family and friends as you barbecue or do whatever people do on the unofficial start of summer. So what if you need to make a Walmart run?
Most Walmart stores will be open on Memorial Day Monday as Walmart officially stays open every day of the year except December 25. That said, if you know your local store has closed for holidays in the past, it’s worth double-checking.
As for whether it’s well-stocked, that’s a different question. We have to recommend you try to do as much of your barbecue, cookout or decoration shopping before the holiday as we can make no promises that Memorial Day Walmart will be as equipped for your needs as a typical week day. At the very least, no one wants to deal with the crowds stores generate when everyone is off work at the same time!
Of course, Memorial Day may be the specific occasion you’re headed to Walmart on Monday anyways. Like other big box stores, Walmart will be offering Memorial Day sales and savings. Specifically, they’re rolling back the prices on electronics, home goods and patio furniture. To truly herald the (unofficial) start of summer, Walmart is also offering deals on sports and outdoor goods like bikes, tennis rackets and trampolines. Oh, and of course, grills.
So if it’s late Sunday night or early the next morning and you’re in a bind, missing charcoal or hot dogs or pool toys for the kids, rest easy. Walmart is open normal store hours on Memorial Day Monday 29, 2017.
