Golden State Warriors third wheel Draymond Green stars in a new Footlocker commercial with Horace Grant and Michelle Williams.
The Golden State Warriors might not be champions and might not be on the top the basketball world like they once were, but that’s not stopping Draymond Green from cashing in. The Warriors third wheel is Draymond Green, as he sits in line for the throne of Steph Curry behind Klay Thompson. But while Steph is the face of the franchise and Klay is the sidekick, Dray is the very vocal voice of the team.
Steph isn’t really into endorsements that don’t involve dad shoes and Klay isn’t really marketing himself, so that leaves the door wide open for the boisterous and ever ready Draymond. When he’s not kicking players in the gonads, he’s shilling for various endorsements — and good on him for cashing in.
The Gold Medalist is now starring in a Footlocker ad that plays on his third wheel status, along with fellow third wheels Horace Grant and Michelle Williams. Grant was the third wheel on a handful of Michael Jordan/Scottie Pippen led Bulls teams in the 1990s wile Williams is the often forgotten Destiny’s Child.

It’s not the best showing from Footlocker, but it’s not the worst. It sort of falls apart when Michelle Williams shows up, because she doesn’t do anything to stand out. Grant putting on the goggles to get recognized is hilarious, but even that isn’t as clever as some of the other Footlocker ads we’ve seen.
Not the worst showing by Footlocker but we’ve seen better.
