Did this Lego set just spoil Justice League?

Did the reveal of the Justice League Lego sets spoil a major plot line in the movie?

We are still months away from the release of Justice League, but thanks to the reveal of the Leog tie-in sets, we might have a better picture of what to expect.

This is all clearly speculation, but if you want to go into Justice League with virgin eyes, stop here so you don’t accidentally have something spoiled.

Alright, this is the point of no return.

By now, you probably already know the sets and the prices attached to them:

    • Battle of Atlantis (76085) – $19.99
    • Justice League Knightcrawler (76086) – $49.99
    • Justice League Flying Fox (76087) – $129.99

Zero in on that first set, ‘Battle of Atlantis’. That could be a huge spoiler for Justice League as it seems to tip their hand to where the massive battle in the trailer was taking place.

Atlantis is the home of Aquaman, who has slowly been getting more screen time in the trailers and has a standalone movie currently filming. We don’t know where most of the movie takes place or what will happen (outside of the recruitment of the characters) but this Lego set name seems to suggest that Atlantis is a central location.

Back this up with the fact we’re seeing more Aquaman in the trailers and all of a sudden the picture becomes more clear.

The fear now is that Justice League will be window dressing for Aquaman’s movie, something that Batman V Superman ended up being for both the greater DC universe as well as the upcoming Wonder Woman.

If you want to be less cynical about the film, then knowing Atlantis is likely the location of the climactic battle at the end of the film means there’s plenty of room to speculate how we get there.

Justice League hits theaters in November.
