When does Lego Batman come out on Blu-ray and Digital?

Here’s all the information you need to know about the Blu-ray release of Lego Batman, so you can take the fun hime with you.

This year saw the release of the latest Batman movie — not the standalone with Ben Affleck but a Lego version of the tale. A spinoff of The Lego Movie, which was a resounding success, the Lego Batman Movie faced some challenges in living up to both its predecessor as well as being a part of the Batman franchise.

Critics loved the movie and audiences did as well, even if the film wasn’t the smash hit The Lego Movie ended up being.

If you’re looking to own Lego Batman early then you’re in luck. The digital download of the movie will be available on May 19, but that’s exclusively the digital version of the movie. If you want to own a physical copy, then you’ll have to wait until June 13, when Lego Batman hits Blu-ray and 4K UltraHD.

There have been discussions about whether or not the film was a success, as it grossed far fewer dollars than The Lego Movie and hardly put a dent in the box office totals of other Batman movies. It really didn’t feel like a film that warranted a theatrical release, but don’t hate the product for the way it was delivered.

Just like The Lego Movie, this flick is the perfect mixture of things for the kids as well as adults-only humor that older audiences can appreciate. It’s not a cinematic classic, but there are worse ways to kill a family movie night or throw on while you work from home on a weekend.
