As someone who values home security, I’m always on the lookout for new and innovative products to keep my family safe. That’s how I came across the Wyze Wireless Video Doorbell Pro. I was drawn to its affordable price point and the hassle-free installation I’d read so much about. After using it for a few weeks, here are my thoughts.
The installation process was indeed hassle-free, thanks to the included screws and hardwiring equipment. I opted to go for the wire-free option and used the 3M tape to mount it on my front porch. The video quality is impressive, with a 1440 HD video resolution and a 1:1 aspect ratio that provides a head-to-toe view. The night vision feature also works well, giving me peace of mind knowing I can see everything outside my front door even in low-light conditions.
However, I did notice a slight delay in the camera capturing motion. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does mean you might miss the beginning of the action. I also found the speaker volume to be quite low, making it difficult for guests to hear me when I spoke through the two-way audio feature.
Hassle-Free Installation
One of the most significant advantages of the Wyze Wireless Video Doorbell Pro is its hassle-free installation. You can mount it for front porch protection in under 30 seconds without any screws or hardwiring equipment. However, screws and hardwiring equipment are included in the package, providing even more ways to install. This feature is particularly useful for those who don’t want to drill holes in their walls or don’t have any electrical wiring skills. Moreover, the Wyze Wireless Video Doorbell Pro comes with a 1440×1440 fuller than HD sensor, providing you with 33% more clarity than traditional HD cameras. This means that you’ll be able to see the whole story clearly, making it an excellent option for security purposes.
Record More, Recharge Less
With up to three months of battery life, the Wyze Wireless Video Doorbell Pro is designed to capture everything while allowing you to recharge only twice a year. This wireless doorbell provides you with an extended period of uninterrupted protection, allowing you to see Spring and Summer pass before recharging for Fall and Winter. Moreover, it comes with a USB cable to charge it when the battery gets low, and the app shows you the battery level, making it very convenient to use.The Wyze Wireless Video Doorbell Pro also comes with an optional upgrade available. You can upgrade to Cam Plus to receive real-time alerts when people are detected and store full-length videos in the cloud for 14-days. This upgrade is particularly useful for those who want to use their doorbell camera for security purposes.
Chime Included
One of the best features of the Wyze Wireless Video Doorbell Pro is that it includes a chime option. You can hear your doorbell ring, chirp, or bark, and choose between 20 unique tunes and eight sound levels to find the perfect chime for you. The chime is included in the package, making it a convenient and cost-effective option. Moreover, the Wyze Wireless Video Doorbell Pro allows you to scare off potential intruders with a dog bark, making it an excellent option for security purposes. This feature is particularly useful for those who want to deter potential burglars or unwanted visitors.
Easy to Use
The Wyze Wireless Video Doorbell Pro is very easy to use, even for those who are not tech-savvy. It is super easy to set up on the app, and easy to install wirelessly on the house with the 3M tape. Notifications are only slightly delayed, and the 12-second recording can be viewed in the app and deleted as necessary. The Wyze Wireless Video Doorbell Pro also works easily with Alexa, making it a versatile and convenient option for those who want to use voice commands to operate their doorbell camera.
Wide Field of View
The Wyze Wireless Video Doorbell Pro provides you with a very wide field of view, incredible night vision, and very clear picture, making it a great choice for those who want to monitor their home’s surroundings. However, the speaker volume for guests to hear you from inside or afar is very low and not adjustable, making it a significant issue for some users. Overall, the Wyze Wireless Video Doorbell Pro is a great camera with a wide field of view, making it an excellent option for security purposes. If you want to have conversations with your guests, you may want to read the forum review and decide if you want to buy it or wait for a (hopefully) improved model.
