The 4th of the July is the perfect time to throw a party. Not only is it a great time to enjoy the outdoors, but it’s also the perfect opportunity to grill out, find somewhere to swim and drink some beer (provided that you’re over 21 years old).
For those who are hosting a party, there isn’t a better place to get buns, burgers, hot dogs, chips and anything else that you might need in bulk than Costco Wholesale. For those who like to wait until the last minute to pick up the party supplies, you’re probably wondering if Costco is open on Independence Day.
Unfortunately, Costco is actually closed for the 4th of July. Costco is actually one of the few retail outlets that is closed for almost all major holidays. Along with the 4th, it is also closed during New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
While that might be a bummer for you, it’s great for the employees. All of these consistent closures, along with some of the best hourly wages in the industry, are some of the top reasons why Costco was ranked No. 40 on the best places to work in 2016 by Glassdoor.
Even though you won’t be able to come in at the last minute to get your July 4th party supplies, Costco will still be open at regular hours in the days leading up to the holiday so you can get your bulk burgers and hot dogs.
