The iPhone 7 is finally here, and Apple revealed everything you can expect from the latest smartphone.
After months and months of waiting, Apple finally unveiled the new iPhone 7 during the company’s Special Event on Wednesday. A number of new features were covered during the Special Event that make it look like one the coolest smartphone to date.
As expected, there are a number of brand new features for the iPhone 7. Even the design of the phone itself is improved, featuring a sleek new look that comes in colors including black, gold, silver and rose gold.
The home button has been redesigned for a more customizable experience. The button is now force sensitive thanks to the new taptic engine that will allow for quick actions, messages and notifications.
Perhaps the most exciting feature for those who have dropped an iPhone in water before is the fact that this year’s model is water and dust resistant. Apple claims that even falling in a pool won’t damage the new product.
The iPhone’s camera also received a major overhaul. The new camera will be steadier, take sharper images and a stronger flash that can compensate for artificial lighting. During the Special Event, Apple showed some breathtaking photos taken from the new iPhone. The iPhone 7 Plus will feature two cameras on the back to help with high-quality zoom.
On the audio side of things, the iPhone 7 will feature stereo speakers on the top and bottom of the phone, which will be twice as loud as the previous model. As expected, the EarPods will now be connected over Lightning rather than over an analog input. The AirPods, a wireless pair of headphones, were also unveiled.
As for performance, the iPhone 7 is 120x faster than the original iPhone, while the graphics performance is 240x faster. Apple plans on utilizing console-level gaming with this new level of performance. Meanwhile, the battery life is the longest ever in an iPhone.
With so many new features, you can expect a sky-high demand for the iPhone 7.
