    23. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have a history of terrible jerseys. To be fair, their color scheme is one of a kind. It needs a special concept for it to work well. Nike found it. Perhaps no team has benefitted more from their recent exclusive sponsorship of the NFL than the Dolphins.

Reebok tried everything possible to make the color scheme work and it never did. They tried all these fancy concepts and none of them looked good. However, Nike had success by keeping it simple. The aqua blue is one of a kind. Very few, if any, teams wear aqua as their primary color. The Dolphins deserve credit for sticking with it, but they were saved by the swoosh.

What makes these uniforms work so well is the lettering and outlines. Unless you’re wearing white or grey, you can’t go wrong with white lettering. It works with virtually any color known to man. The lone issue with white numbers and lettering? It can look a little bit boring. Once again, Nike came to the rescue, using an orange outline.

Also, the subtle stripes work so well with it. Heck, there’s even an orange swoosh. How can you not love this uniform? My only beef with this look is it’s still a bit too simple. But the simple look is so darn good with the Dolphins, I don’t know how you can improve this look too much. Maybe some white or orange stripes? You have a pretty bold color scheme. Why not show it off more? But this is just nitpicking. Miami has a pretty solid foundation. Maybe they can add something to make this jersey the uniform the universe deserves.
