Today, I am excited to share my thoughts on the new smartphone from OnePlus. It boasts impressive features including a Hasselblad camera, 120Hz Fluid Display, and an 80W fast charger.
I have been using the OnePlus 11 for a few weeks now and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. The phone is fast and responsive, thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 8GB of RAM. The camera system is a standout feature, with a primary 50MP sensor, a 48MP Ultra-Wide sensor, and 32MP Tele Sensor. The Hasselblad integration provides natural color calibration and Hasselblad Portraits that make every picture look stunning. The 120Hz Fluid Display makes scrolling through apps and websites a breeze. The battery life is also impressive, lasting me a full day with heavy usage, and the 80W fast charger is a game-changer, fully charging the phone in just 25 minutes.
Performance
The OnePlus 11 5G boasts a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which delivers increased CPU and GPU performance. Integrated AI processes improve background app usage, delivering increased multitasking abilities. The phone is capable of running any app or game without breaking a sweat. With 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, this phone is optimized for peak performance.
Camera
The OnePlus 11 5G features a triple camera system, co-developed with Hasselblad. The primary 50MP sensor, 48MP Ultra-Wide sensor, and 32MP Tele Sensor, unlock a wide range of photographic possibilities. Hasselblad integration unlocks OnePlus Billion Color Solution, Natural Color Calibration by Hasselblad, & Hasselblad Portraits. The phone takes very nice pictures with any length, reproducing the ambiance of the moment.
Display
The OnePlus 11 5G features a stunning 6.7” 120Hz fluid AMOLED display, featuring 3rd-gen LTPO technology & AOD. The OnePlus 11 is now Dolby Vision compatible to deliver a more cinematic viewing experience. The display is vibrant and clear, even in direct sunlight. The LTPO technology and AOD features make sure that the display is energy efficient.
Charging
The OnePlus 11 5G comes with a 80W SUPERVOOC charger straight out of the box. The improved battery health & active cooling will ensure your OnePlus 11 will have improved battery longevity. The charging power is not particularly high, but 80W can meet the needs of most people. The phone charges in no time, with five minutes of charging bringing the battery up to 28%.
Design
The OnePlus 11 comes in two color ways – Green & Black. The circular camera module is bold and elegant, designed to stand out with its chrome accents and curved glass. The build quality is very good, and the phone feels solid in the hand. The downside of the design is the glass back, which makes the phone hard to grip onto and caseless.
Cons
The phone’s curved screen is difficult to protect with a screen protector and is easier to break from a fall. The on-screen fingerprint sensor is not as accurate as the side-mounted ones. When in landscape and inside a game, notifications don’t appear as normal and are a small one-line only. The phone’s 6.7-inch screen could have been 6.8 inches to accommodate a larger battery.
Pros:
- The OnePlus 11 5G offers peak performance with its advanced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, delivering increased CPU and GPU performance for improved multitasking abilities.
- The Hasselblad co-developed triple camera system allows for burdenless imaging, unlocking a wide range of photographic possibilities and delivering excellent dynamic range and clarity.
- The OnePlus 11 5G features a stunning 6.7” 120Hz fluid AMOLED display with Dolby Vision compatibility, coupled with added Dolby Atmos audio, making it a true entertainment powerhouse.
Cons:
- The glass back of the phone makes it hard to grip onto and slide everywhere, and it is also more prone to breaking from a fall.
- The curved screen is difficult to protect with a screen protector and is easier to break from a fall.
- The on-screen fingerprint sensor can be less accurate than side-mounted sensors, and some screen protectors may have annoying holes in them for the sensor.
Conclusion
Overall, I highly recommend the OnePlus 11 for anyone in the market for a new smartphone. Its peak performance, burdenless imaging, cinematic experience, and charge ahead features make it a true entertainment powerhouse. The new design is also sleek and elegant, with a circular camera module and chrome accents. While there are some drawbacks, such as the lack of USB-C port and difficulty putting on a screen protector, the pros far outweigh the cons.
