After news came out that Dave Chappelle and Netflix would be releasing three stand-up specials, the release date for the first two have been revealed.
It has been a long time since comedian Dave Chappelle was a comedy superstar. In fact, it has been almost 13 years since Chappelle’s last stand-up special and almost 11 years since the popular Comedy Central series Chappelle’s Show last aired.
Fortunately for fans of the legendary comedian, Chappelle is bringing back his stand-up for a national audience by partnering with Netflix. Back in November, it was announced that the two sides had agreed to a deal for three stand-up specials in 2017.
Now, Netflix has officially revealed when we will be getting the first two stand-up specials, and fans are already getting pumped up to see them. We will apparently be getting both on the same day, with Netflix revealing that they’ll be released on March 21st, according to this video that they released on Twitter.

Although Chappelle has been doing stand-up around the country in recent years, it has been a long time since he’s taped one of his specials for television or streaming. However, Chappelle did appear back in the mainstream media back in November when he hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time in his career, and not surprisingly, he crushed it.
There hasn’t been an official release date announced for the third stand-up special with Chappelle on Netflix, but for the time being, fans of the comedian are just excited to see that he’s coming back to deliver what will likely be two hilarious specials.
