Once again, the athletic apparel giant Nike and Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant have joined forces to unveil their latest sneaker, the Kobe A.D. NXT.
Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant seems to be staying busy despite retiring from the NBA after last season. From occasional media appearances to setting up Kobe Inc., the Black Mamba isn’t going away anytime soon, and neither are his sneakers.
Bryant and Nike have had a close relationship over the years, and the two have joined forces once again for another new pair of sneakers. The Nike Kobe A.D. NXTs were designed with the idea to continue improving performance for athletes thanks to the efforts of Kobe and longtime Nike collaborator Eric Avar.
“The updates we’ve made to Kobe’s line demonstrate a new way of thinking about performance design,” Avar said according to Nike.com.
The sneakers will be available in limited fashion on April 1, and knowing sneakerheads, they’ll like be out of stock shortly after they’re released. You can check out some photos of the new Nike Kobe A.D. NXTs below.
The shoes will be going for a retail price of $200, and while that may be a bit pricey for some, you just know that these shoes are going to sell out in a hurry.
Even in retirement, Kobe keeps finding ways to make money, and that trend isn’t something that’s going to go away any time soon. Expect even more Kobe sneakers in the future.
