17. Johns Hopkins Lacrosse (2014)

Under Armor is taking over the sports world. They supply the jerseys for a ton of teams around the country. Under Armor is especially dominant in Maryland because their headquarters is in Baltimore. As much as they’ve grown, they’ve been unable to touch Johns Hopkins. Why would Under Armor care about a Division III school? Because Nike does their lacrosse jerseys. It’s telling Under Armor has been trying to win over Hopkins, but haven’t been able too.

The simplicity of the uniform is wonderful. Sometimes you have to go simple, especially with lacrosse jerseys. Light blue is a very nice color to go with. Just ask North Carolina. As far as lacrosse jerseys go, this is one of the best.

However, take a look at the helmets. Those things are glorious. I could stare at the bluejay logo all day. And the dual color scheme is magnificent. Perfect mesh of black and light blue. Nike still owns the lacrosse world. It’s hard to see how Under Armor will compete with them in lacrosse because they’re so firmly intrenched in it. Granted, the lacrosse market isn’t a huge one. But still, Nike cared about it when no one else did.

Johns Hopkins deserves to look their best when they’re on the field. They’re arguably the most successful Division I lacrosse program of all-time. Johns Hopkins is a Division III school in every sport but lax. The success of their lacrosse program has put the university in the national spotlight where it belongs.
