How late does Target stay open on Easter Sunday, assuming that it’s even open at all?
It’s Easter Sunday, which means trying to figure out which stores are open and which ones have closed their doors in observance of the holiday. Not every store is going to be closed this year but there are a handful of major cogs in our consumer machine that will not be turning on Easter Sunday.
Target is among those stores that will not be open on Easter Sunday.
Unlike Walmart, don’t expect Target to be open on Easter. There might be some differences based on location but for the most part Target will not be open for your last minute Easter shopping needs. This means if you forgot something for your dinner, it’s going to have to come from some place else other than Target.
This is the reason why stores like Walmart remain open, to slurp up business that is displaced thanks to the adjusted holiday hours that Easter presents. Target closing its doors is a normal thing, though, and we shouldn’t be surprised. The chain rarely remains open on holidays — national or observed — which is something that employees no doubt appreciate.
It’s an inconvenience to the rest of us, but Target isn’t the only option out there as far as finding our last minute Easter needs. The chain will open up for normal business hours on Monday, but it won’t be of any immediate help if you’re in a pinch on Easter Sunday.
