16. The Honey add-on for web browsers helps keep track of deals
There are always ways to find cheaper ways to pay when shopping online at Amazon. The biggest problem with this, however, is the time it takes to do so. Saving money is nice, but not all of us can manually keep track of Amazon’s prices. All too often, we might discover that we just missed an insanely great deal on the site, mostly because we just can’t keep track of it that closely.
Honey is the name of a browser add-on for most major browsers. It still excludes Edge and Internet Explorer at this time, but it just might be worth switching browsers. While most add-ons seem like spam or something you’d be nervous to install on your computer, Honey is actually legitimate, and only does what it is supposed to. Which is to save you even more money shopping online.
With Honey installed, the add-on will compare Amazon prices with third party sellers to find you the best deal. They call it “cart protection”, with the idea that they’ll let you know the best price before you even add the item to the cart. It’s basically a quicker and easier way to searching through the different sellers on Amazon to find out for yourself which one is the best.
Honey isn’t completely magical and won’t always find you insane deals. But even if you’re only saving a matter of cents or a few dollars per purchase, it can add up over time.
