12. The FLOW app lets you take pictures to look for Amazon deals

You have got to love technology, right? If you really get to learn how to use it, it can be taken advantage of to narrow down the best deals. Things might have began with having Google on the go, giving users the chance to search on their own to try to find better deals for products they want to buy. But smartphones are advancing so well that it’s becoming as simple as just taking a photograph.

FLOW is an app powered by Amazon that aims to simplify this entire process. Available for both iOS and Android devices, the goal is for you to keep the app ready when you’re doing your shopping. Really, what the app does is let you take a picture of a given item, and then it gives you more information about it. Notably, the first thing it shows is how much it would cost to buy it from Amazon. It’s truly a very simple way of instantly price checking with Amazon anytime you come across something you’re wanting to buy, just to quickly make sure whether you can save by doing the purchase on Amazon instead.

All kinds of products are included here, ranging from books and video games to cereal and diapers. But as the app and tech are evolving, it hasn’t reached perfection yet. Not every single thing you scan is going to yet show up. But more and more, Amazon is making this app better, and it will only get better moving forward.
