    26. If Amazon drops a price after your order, they’ll refund the difference

All of us have been there at some point in our lives while shopping. Perhaps you have been saving up your money for something, and you finally buy it and take it home. Soon after, maybe even the next day, you see the same place where you brought it from advertising the item at a sale price. It’s lower than what you had just paid for it, an impeccable case of horrible timing. It’s a horrible feeling knowing that you pretty much threw money away because you couldn’t have foreseen such a quick price drop.

Amazon has a fix for this for its Amazon Prime customers, fortunately. They’re understanding of the frustration we feel when we see an item go on sale right after we buy it from them. So they’re willing to offer us a very fair deal to make this up. All it takes is to contact their customer service to explain the situation. They will already have access to your order history, making verifying the purchase a snap. And the solution is to immediately refund you the difference for what you paid for the item, as if you had just gotten it for the sale price instead.

Of course, this only works for items shipped straight from Amazon, and not third party sellers. The actual policy of the company is that the purchase has to be within seven days of the sale, but being polite and asking nicely might still get you that refund.
