Arkansas: Ozark Beer Company, American Pale Ale

The Ozarks conjure up a certain image or belief in many people. Some people may envision the entertainment mecca, Branson, and others will see a vast hunting and fishing wilderness. Both of these views can agree that Ozark Beer Company brews some delicious beers.

Located in Rogers, Arkansas, Ozark Beer Company embraces the regions hard working ethic. The company proudly states that their beers reflect the phrase ”hard work makes honest beer.” Who doesn’t enjoy a refreshing cold beer, or two, after a long work week?

Founded in 2013, the brewery has grown in popularity and accolades. The brewery has been featured in USA Today, Southern Living and has even been featured at a James Beard House dinner.

For years, the Ozarks area embodies the principle of living off the land. Ozark Beer Company brews five beers. While many people rave about its Onyx Coffee Stout, a cream stout with a cold brewed coffee infusion, I prefer the brewery’s American Pale Ale.

The American Pale Ale is a great beer to enjoy around a camp fire over a long weekend. The slightly citrus notes from the session IPA offset the rye in the beer. According to the brewers, drinkers can expect some “grassy notes” and “grapefruit.” Sit back with friends, enjoy a grilled burger and relax from a hard days’ work with this Arkansas beer.

Ozark Beer Company’s American Pale Ale contains 4.3% ABV.
