Pennsylvania: Yuengling
Do you know the nation’s oldest brewery? Yuengling is the nation’s oldest running brewery. It is also the longest family run brewery. The brewery believes that its long running success is due to commitment to detail and an appreciation of their heritage.
Over the years, Yuengling has had many ups and downs. Surviving the lean prohibition years, Yuengling shipped “Winner Beer” to the FDR when the law was over turned. This determination to survive throughtout the nation’s many changes has gained Yuengling much success.
As the craft beer industry gained in popularity, Yuengling pivoted to remark its historic beers. In 1987, the brewery reintroduced its Yuengling Amber Lager. Over time, this beer has become the brewery’s flagship brand.
Yuengling Amber Lager is a truly American beer. The American amber, also considered a red ale, is an easy beer to drink. No powerful hops to create a heavy taste. Nor are there too many flavor layers to distinguish. The Traditional Yuengling Amber Lager is a good, everyday beer, period. Crazy flavors or intricate brewing processes aren’t necessary. There is a reason why this beer and this brewery is the oldest in America.
