In the village of Harmondsworth, the British government’s decision to back expanding London Heathrow Airport with a new third runway was welcomed like a death sentence. Much of the historic village will be razed and concreted over under plans to enlarge Europe’s busiest airport.

Virginia: Legend Brewing Company, Legan Bohemian-style Pilsner
Virginia has a bustling beer scene. The department of tourism has a whole page devoted to Virginia breweries and wineries. They say that Virginia is for lovers, but it might change to beer lovers.
The state has a wide variety of small microbreweries and larger production facilities. When trying to choose just one brewery or beer, the choice will leave many people upset. Remember, one person’s tastes may not be the same as your neighbor. Don’t agree with this choice, convince me that your choice is better.
One brewery that caught my eye is Legend Brewing Company. Established in 1994, the Legend Brewing Company brings alternatives to mass produced, mainstream beers. It is one of a few craft breweries that creates both lagers and ales. The two different brewers requires two different brewing processes.
While many of the beers are quite tasty, the year round pilsner is a good introduction to this brewery. One of the award winning beers, Taste of Europe, Legend Bohemian-style pilsner blends American brashness with European elegance. The beer has both spice and floral notes. The golden color adds to the crisp taste.
Legend Brewing beers are available at select retailers.
