11. Getting Lucky Eggs
Lucky Eggs make leveling up far easier. Use one, and your XP doubles for a 30-minute period. In short, if you catch a slew of Pokemon or evolve them while the Lucky Egg is effective, you reap twice the reward. You can pair their effects with Lure Modules and Incense as well.
So, how does one go about obtaining these wonderful things? Like Incense, there are two ways.
First, you can use your Pokecoins, as seen in the above screencap. 1 Lucky Egg sets you back a mere 80 Pokecoins. Purchasing 8 raises the rate to 500 Pokecoins, but that works out to only 62.5 coins per Egg. And, if you’ve got some big plans for leveling up, you might consider splurging on the set of 25. It’s pretty pricey at 1250 coins, but you end up spending 50 Pokecoins per Egg, which is a great rate.
Second, you do get some free Lucky Eggs when you level up. Hit levels 9, 10, 15, 25, and 35, and you’ll get 1 Lucky Egg each time. Level 20 scores you 2 Lucky Eggs. Level 30 hands out 3 Lucky Eggs. Finally, should you reach the heights of Level 40, you’ll snag 4 Lucky Eggs for your trouble.
